Dott extends scooter service area in Brussels

20:34 09/03/2020

Electric scooter-sharing scheme Dott has expanded its coverage area to include Evere, Molenbeek and Anderlecht - serving the western half of Brussels for the first.

Dott announced in January that it wanted to make its 2,000-strong fleet of scooters available in a wider area and appeal more to residents, away from the obvious tourist spots.

The expansion this weekends means Dott is now available in 15 of Brussels' 19 municipalities. The missing ones are Koekelberg, Jette, Ganshoren and Berchem-Sainte-Agathe.

"It remains our goal to serve all the residents of Brussels," said Dott's local manager, Marien Jomier.

Brussels mobility minister Elke Van den Brandt is keen to see electric scooters made available throughout the region. Dott's closest rival, Lime, is already available in each of the 19 municipalities.
