Brussels Central Station gets flexible workspace

00:08 20/10/2015

A new Regus Express Centre flexible workspace has opened up in Brussels Central Station, the result of a partnership between Belgium's rail authority SNCB and Regus, a multinational operator of serviced office spaces spanning more than 100 countries. The two parties have joined forces to provide comforably furnished and fully-fledged working and meeting spaces at eight locations along the Belgian rail network.

A total of seven such sites are already in operation, in the stations Brussels South, Brussels-Luxembourg (pictured), Leuven, Bruges, Sint-Niklaas and Liège-Guillemins. Another SNCB/Regus Express Centre is set to open in Antwerp's Central Station in the coming months.

The flexible workplace in Brussels Central Station consists of two meeting rooms, a business lounge with a reading table and lounge chairs. The centre is equipped with wireless internet and various support services, from help with printing documents to booking a taxi or a table at a restaurant.

Located just a few steps from the platform, the centre's main purpose is to help workers stay productive in between meetings or train rides. Use of the space costs €6 for the first hour, or €12 per day, and includes coffee, tea and water.
