Brussels to Amsterdam car rental
Question
Hi,
I want to hire a car for a one-way trip by picking it up in Brussels and dropping it off at Amsterdam airport, to take a flight from there. I do not want to use the train because there isn't one that coincides with my flight.
Does anyone know of a car-rental company that allows this? I suppose it's possible since all the car rental companies are pan-European.
Has anyone done this? Any idea of the cost?

Depending on which day is your flight, I see that there is a 5.45 am IC Benelux train from Brussels Midi and arriving at Schiphol at 8.46 am with a change over at Rotterdam. Changeover time is 6 minutes...errr. I would avoid that with luggage and if the first segment is delayed by even a few mins then you've had it. So as recommended by all, the best would be a hotel at Schiphol.
I've regularly taken a 06.52 Thalys from Midi to Schipol (gets in at 08.24) - much cheaper and less hassle than a one way car rental.
If there is one airport you'd want to arrive before the 2-hours recommended time, it is Schipol.
From antwerp area I pay 59 euros for taxi to schiphol , might be a bit more from Bxl .no problem day or night , and pickup from Schiphol anytime same price.
