Zavatem Airport - Pick-up point?

Question

In a few days I will have to drive to Zavatem airport in the early hours to collect my off-spring and 3 others as they arrive back from a school trip (I have to drive about 100kms - public transport is not an option)

Is there a pick up point where you can stop to collect people without having to go into a car park? Ive seen the parking charges and they are astronomic!

Thanks

best

Drive up to the departure area and park in one of the first early slots you can find in the "kiss and drive" area.
It's not very legal but in the early hours you'll probably get away with it as police will be having their morning coffee.
You can then walk down to the arrival hall by a set of "escalators" or lifts.

Hi Luke
I regularly used to collect my wife from the airport.
I would park in the centre of Zaventem town and wait; she would call me once she had her bags and was through customs and she would then come out of the arrivals hall, cross the road and wait in a position where we could easily see each other as I drove up.

the police is checking the departure slots also in the morning so don't risky it.

but I also use the same method of Kaisserstampen and I park my car at Vilvoordelaan near the Zaventem Loodsen bus stop (check Google map) which is 2 minutes by car from the airport. then I usually pick up the person at Departures on street level and in ten seconds I am usually out of there.

I would hardly call 5 EUR astronomical..., but else have them call when they are about to leave and quickly scoop them up at the Kiss & Ride

More of a pain than the cost of parking in the car park (it can be fairly reasonable if you're quick enough) are the potholes. What's with that? Potholes in a paid-for car park?!
