Where would you live?

If you were a couple in your early thirties, no kids yet....one working out by the airport, the other walking distance from Schuman and you were sick of the filth of Brussels and having your stuff stolen.....where would you choose to move to that would not make for horrible commutes? Mind you, two Belgian level wages, quite low, no benefits like company car ect.....
Suggestions welcome....we're frustrated!
