From jazz to dinosaurs, not forgetting the Brussels 20k and Neighbours' Day - here's our pick for the coming week

Under the stewardship of the Boghossian Foundation, Brussels’ Villa Empain has become a home for international modern art. The vintage art deco mansion regularly hosts group exhibitions where artists and cultures intermingle. This show of paintings and sculptures by contemporary South Korean artist Chun Kwang Young marks the space’s first solo showcase. Curator Asad Raza focuses on Chun’s more recent work in which the painter experiments with hanji, a multipurpose paper made from mulberry bark since the ninth century. Chun’s wall-based and sculptural works are on show both inside the villa and on the property’s spectacular gardens

The Maximilian Park Pedagogical Farm is a rural anomaly which abuts the northern edge of the Pentagon and is filled with barnyard fowl, llamas, sheep, goats, peacocks, rabbits, donkeys and more. They have year-round educational activities for children and one of their initiatives is the N@C (Nature Art Cohesion) which aims to promote social cohesion through nature and art. This Saturday is the yearly N@C day with the inauguration of the artwork The Fifth Element as well as the Biodigestor and the kid-friendly Trojan Horse. Brussels mayor Yves Mayeur and HRH Prince Laurent of Belgium will be among the personalities attending and children can expect workshops, face painting, kites, music, surprises and discoveries as well as lots of interaction with all the animals.
27 May, from 13.00, Quai du Batelage 2, Brussels

At May's end every year, Namur - with its plentiful and beautiful Baroque buildings and its dramatic geographical situation - is the backdrop for Namur en Mai which fills the town with circus arts and street theatre. There are more tha 60 acts, half of them free and if you find choosing which ones to enjoy too hard a task, the festival has chosen for you with three circuits: family, best-of and nocturnal. This year includes 24 never-before-seen productions and 33 Belgian premières so even if you have taken advantage of the various circus arts festivals that we have already had in Brussels this year, there will be plenty for you to discover. Tip: if you've never been to Namur before, make some time to stop into the Eglise Saint-Loup to experience its sculpted sandstone ceiling, one of the most beautiful ceilings in the world.
