During the second quarter of the 20th Century, the Margaretenhöhe ceramic studio in Germany flourished following the aesthetic guidelines of the Bauhaus Movement. In 1986, Korean ceramicist Lee Youngjae and associates took over the workshop and developed a product line that embodies those requirements that the pieces be easy to produce and to use and that a colour palette that allows for the harmonious mixing of pieces be used.
