What outerwear is suitable for Brussels winter?
Question
We are a couple, temporarily relocating and I want to know what type of outerwear we will need to pack for January to Spring. I hear it rains a lot. I don't know the fashion norms. Will fleece, Gortex or shoftshell activewear do, or is it more formal? Warm coat, or layers? Do people wear hats? Does everyone wear dull colours or are brights common? I may be able to send it in advance, so that's why I'm asking now. Leather boots? Do you see hikers in the city?
