Water polo club close to Sterrebeek?

Question

Does anyone know of a water polo club close to Sterrebeek/Stokkel?
We're looking for somewhere suitable for boys aged 11, who are enthusiastic novices.

There are no swimming pools in Sterrebeek or Stockel.
The nearest swimming pool hosting a water polo club is Royal Brussels Poseidon in WSL. French speaking.

Hi MRK,

Not sure if you have found your water polo club yet. The information given above is not entirely correct.

Swimming Pools:

Stokkel does have a swimming pool - Sportcity, one of only two 50 m pools in the city (the other is in Molenbeek). It is situated at Av. Salome 2, WSP. But there is no water polo team there, although there is a good swimming team: CNSW.

Likewise Zaventem is quite close but there is only a smaller local swimming club, and not water polo.

Water polo teams:

Information on all the teams, fixtures, and results can be found here:

The team at Poseidon (WSL) plays in the first national league. There are also junior teams at the U15 and U17 levels. The head coach is Romanian and speaks good English; the coaches for the U17 and U15 are Bulgarian and also speak good English.

Mechelen is slightly closer than Leuven. especially coming from the west side of the city. They have teams in the First and Fourth Division National League and junior water polo from U11 to U24. The coaching is good.

Leuven has teams from U11 to Second Division National League.

The nederlandophone clubs are obviously comfortable with English but the language is predominantly Vlaams especially in coaching the junior age groups, in the same way as the French clubs will converse mostly in French!

I hope that is helpful.

Oh the irony ... of course I meant the East side of the city.
