Question

I won a $100 prepaid Visa card from work (US company). Great. Except it doesn't come with a PIN so I can't use it for petrol/shopping/restaurants. So I tried buying stuff online (amazon.co.uk) and it rejected the card too. Anyone got any ideas or experience as to where this card might be accepted as I'm not planning a trip to the states any time soon (years in fact) and I'm loathe to just chalk it up to experience and also would prefer *not* to order from a US website and get hit with import duties.

Go to HR and explain. US based companies often forget that the world does not revolve around them. They should provide you with a money order or something in the amount of €100 as you live in Europe not the US.
