US Ambassador caught smashing guitar

American Ambassador Howard Gutman yesterday publicly smashed an electric guitar – unashamedly and with gusto. He was taking part in the ritual that crowns the inauguration ceremony of every Hard Rock Cafe branch. For yesterday’s official opening of the Brussels franchise, he was joined by Hard Rock Cafe International CEO Hamish Dodds, Fun Lovin’ Criminals main man Huey Morgan, the Feeling’s Dan Gillespie and Rita Gilligan, the first ever Hard Rock Cafe waitress, who these days works as a PR for the company. Musicians should note that no functioning guitar was harmed in the process: only faulty equipment destined for the skip is used in such ceremonies.
