Urgent- chip fell out of ID card

Question

I have just removed my Belgian ID card (type F) from my wallet
upon doing so, noticed that the chip piece has fallen out...
I have to travel to London on monday, where I will need to present the card at the border control, and am not sure if it will be accepted now, since the chip is out...
As it is friday afternoon, the commune is closed until monday,
so no chance for a replacement. Does anyone know generally how long it may take for a replacement (commune 1000) or if this may be a problem whilst crossing the border to the UK (prefer to have it in combination with my passport to show them I am indeed returning to Belgium- I am a non-EU citizen). Alternatively, I wonder if it is possible to just glue the chip back in?

many thanks

I

Why do you need to present it to border control? The chip coming out of the electronic cards is a common problem. Just sellotape it or keep it safe to show the Belgian Federal Police if they wish to see it. Yes you'll need to replace it.
So long as your national passport is is good shape, it really shouldn't be a problem.
