Trip to Dartmoor

Hello,
I posted this last week. I received a few replies asking me to be more specific. Thank you for replying:

"I am travelling to the Uk, Dartmoor National Park. I will be travelling from Brussels/ I would like to cut the journey by staying overnight in an English Inn on the way (and back) . Has anyone a recommendation?"

I am travelling by car. I am completely flexible in the route I will take. Looking for somewhere quaint. An Inn or hotel is acceptable. I will happily detour to a recommended place. Lake District might be too far a detour! I just want to relax and enjoy an English speaking environment.
