Trimming and pruning an appletree

Question

How much should I expect to have to pay for having an appletree pruned? I got an offer for 500 EUR which I thought was ludicrous, then it was reduced to 300 EUR which I still find quite high. Any advice?

Mimi

That still works out to 600 euros an hour. Even lawyers don't rob you that much!

Been quoted similar amounts to remove a small tree. Welcome to Belgium.

I had 2 effin huge ones removed. €700 + VAT, 2 hunky blokes, all in a day with a large chopper.

I suspect those advertising on this site are expecting or hoping for premium prices from us stinking rich expats. My ridiculous quote came from somebody who advertises (advertised?) on this site.

I had picked a local small business from the Golden Pages but he could of course tell that I'm not Belgian. I have now contacted Arboritech, thank you for the info.

It is actually difficult to take care of tress on my own, so I always rely on tree cutting and pruning services offered by D. Botha and his team, and it helps me maintain my backyard garden with ease.
