Trial for speeding with car

My brother recently went to court for speeding 83 kph in a 50 zone. He has had a Belgian license for less than 2 years sop that is considered serious. Went to court alone, I don't know what he told them but it was quite brief, and they fined him 500€ and two weeks suspension. Unless yours is much more serious, leave the lawyer out and save your money for the fine. Speeding offenses are open and shut cases unless there are extenuating circumstances that you can prove.
