Tomorrowland protestors give up after threats

10:19 24/04/2014

Three of the ten people looking to ban the second weekend of the 10th anniversary edition of the Tomorrowland dance festival in Boom have dropped the charges. They gave up after being threatened, writes Het Laatste Nieuws.

The decision to extend the festival was challenged in court by 10 residents of the area because of noise and crowds nuisance. Although the protestors wanted to remain anonymous, their identity leaked anyway. "Some of my clients have succumbed to psychological pressure and threats," said lawyer Griet Cnudde.

Today in Antwerp a judge will decide whether Tomorrowland will be allowed to proceed with a second weekend despite complaints by the remaining seven protestors.
