Thermal spa

Question

I would like to spend a day at a thermal spa and have been considering the ones at Spa itself, Grimbergen and Boetfort. Apart from the respective locations, and the fact that treatments (which I might not want anyway) look more expensive at Spa, I can't see much difference between them - does anyone have personal recommendations or experiences? It can be hard to tell what such places are really like behind their websites!

Boetfort is wonderful, very easy going with a decent restaurant.

I second Mark L-W's opinion on Boetfort, and I understand that there have been substantial improvements at Grimbergen (which is under the same management) recently.

Although both Boetfort and Grimbergen are situated in Flemish Brabant, they are both extremely anglophone- and franco-phone friendly. Indeed, one normally hears far more French spoken than Dutch, and the signing is in English.

Just go to Spa, after all all the spas in the world are named after it. And with the new facilities they are the best.

Highly recommend De koperen pomp. It is a B&B, with many other facilities.
It is in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes. Call Chris Troffaes. Tel. No. +32 (0) 470 89 03 93
