Termination of Work Contract

I am on a fixed-contract ending in the end of this month. I found another job with a permanent contract, and I want to start asap. Does anyone know which are the legal ways of terminating my current contract?
Since it is fixed-term contract of more than six months termination of notice is not possible. Does anyone have a similar experience? What about mutual agreement how does that work? Million thanks!
A permanent contract will wait until the end of the month. That is not an issue.
Explain to the current employer that you've got a new job and want to leave ASAP. Either they will let you go of they won't, but unless there's mutual agreement, you're there until the end of the month.
