Tank museum with no tanks. Beware.

Question

If you are interested in tanks, do not go to the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and of Military History. A supposed major feature promoted in their advertising does not exist.
The staff refused to refund the cost of an audio tour device that did not work and were generally rude and disinterested choosing to speak only French, mine is poor but better in Nederlands, however my niece speaks only English.
She is an expert in tank warfare and really wanted to be 'up close and personal' with the machinery.
Most disappointing.

It's generally staffed by volunteers. They don't exactly get paid to speak English.
It's always been fairly ramshackle as a museum. But it still have some of the best WW1 and aviation collections anywhere in the world.
As a real tank nut, she shouldn't have quite gotten over the orgasmic experience of the Renault and the Whippet yet.

You missed the tanks, there are plenty of them. it you make it into the WWI section? The giant hangar? The museum was free until this year. I've been there many times and always had friendly interested staff. The last time I was there, about six weeks ago there were nothing but English only visitors and they were being well served.
I guess it might depend on one's approach.

For next time, here is the map which shows you the location of the tanks you claim do not exist.

It does seem that Mark L-W for whatever reason, you missed the tanks that are certainly there on display:

Everyone does indeed get the chance to 'up close and personal' with the machinery
