suggestions for repair of apple computer?

Question

We bought a MacBook Pro this spring (delivered to us by a relative living in the US). While on holiday, my husband was loading the car, and accidentally drove over it!!! :-(

To our partial relief, we can still use it, since the wheel of the car only caught the right hand corner. The disk drive no longer works though, and what started as a small damaged 'spot', emerging from the right hand corner of the screen, is now getting much bigger and bleeding further into the screen. We fear that we will soon be unable to use the computer at all.

We also fear that if we take the computer to an apple shop, they will tell us it is 'total loss' and suggest we buy a new one ... Can anyone suggest a reliable expert or company that can assess the damage, let us know whether it is worth repairing and if so, carry out the repairs?
Thank you in advance.

J

You might find that the damage is covered by some form of insurance that you have. It is accidental damage after all.
