Starbucks closes all Belgian branches until further notice

09:00 23/03/2016

The American coffee shop chain Starbucks has announced that it will close all of its branches in Belgium until further notice, in the wake of the bombings on Tuesday. "We are monitoring this situation closely, and will provide additional information as it becomes available," said the group in a statement, according to various Belgian media.

One of the explosions at Brussels Airport destroyed the facade of their store in the departure hall. Starbucks says one staff member was injured in the blast.

"This store and all other Starbucks stores in Belgium will remain closed until further notice,” the group announced.

The global coffee chain has 15 outlets in Belgium, including seven in Brussels.

And so they provide yet another reason to boycott them. So much for solidarity.

No doubt some manager is worried about being sued if they stay open and someone is killed with 300miles! Absolutely priceless
