Second night for the Bucket woman

11:44 27/09/2012

A second date has been added to Patricia Routledge’s Belgian stage performance, after the original date sold out. Although she will forever be remembered as Hyacinth Bucket in Keeping Up Appearances, and to a lesser extent the lead in Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, Routledge is first and foremost a prolific theatre actor. Admission: One Shilling, a two-hander with international concert pianist Piers Lane, pays tribute to Dame Myra Hess, who gave morale-boosting piano recitals at London’s National Gallery during the Blitz. Tickets for the October 25 performance in Aalst, East Flanders, which was meant to be a one-off, sold out so quickly that a second performance, on October 24, has just been announced.
