Restaurant chain TGI Friday's coming to Belgium

12:50 14/04/2016

American restaurant chain TGI Friday's wants to establish itself in Belgium, writes Brusselnieuws. The chain's initial aim is to open four restaurants: in Brussels, Antwerp, Liège and possibly Namur, with the first openings expected in the second half of 2017.

The exact location of the new Brussels restaurant is not yet known. "It is important to first let the Belgian public get to know TGI Friday's before expanding," said Nick Boury of Francorp, the franchise company that connects American companies with Belgian partners.

TGI Friday's, which stands for “Thank Goodness It's Friday", markets itself primarily as a “casual dining restaurant where people go to relax while enjoying good food and drink,” according to Francorp. The restaurant serves American classics and features bar and booth seating.

TGI Friday's has more than 900 restaurants in more than 60 countries worldwide.

Am opposed to eating franchises. Am guessing the chain will work as the name is in English so not taking any sides!
