Question

Would anyone know for sure: with a 1 year renewable residence permit in Belgium, what is the residency requirement? Ie, what is the maximum time in a year that one can be outside Belgium, travelling, for work, whatever?

Are the rules different if the permit is issued to a pensioner who effectively comes to Belgium to retire - what are the residency requirements then?

Thanks but I didn't ask HOW to get residency permit. I'm wondering what the requirements are for duration of stay within the country after the residency permit has been granted.
