Renter with problems

Question

We want to rent to a friend who says he has some potential problems.

If we rent to him, is there some way we can set it up so that Bailiffs only have access to his room?

Are there any risk of problems if he is not registered there?
(But with his name on the letterbox)

If you rent to him on an informal basis then bailiffs would not be needed, you just kick him out. To be honest, giving somebody a legal tenancy when you already know he is likely to be trouble is just stupid.

Bailiffs are only allowed to take the property of the person named in their warrant so, legally, all your stuff is safe...................but do you want the hassle of trying to get back what they might take 'accidentally'?
And do you want the hassle that you will face if you are found to be harbouring an illegal - i.e. someone who is not registered.
I have to agree with MIKE - friend or no friend I wouldn't get involve at any price.

it is said many times on this forum that they might take what they find at the location. So I assume we must make it clear exactly what he is renting.
(And not registered at the address doesn't mean illegal)
