Rental rights in Brussels

Question

I am leaving my apartment in one month but have to give 3 months notice. I understand that I can advertise and get another tenant to take over the apartment myself after I leave. The landlord has agreed to me doing this but has said that he is going to put the rent up. Can he do this legally? I mean he has already put the rent up at the beginning of the year, can he now put it up again? This will of course mean it will be harder for me to find another tenant.
Does anyone know a good lawyer/solicitor to call or the answer to this question?
Thanks - Karen

"I understand that I can advertise and get another tenant to take over the apartment"
No - you definately do not have that right. However, a lot of landlords will let you go to the trouble of finding them a new tenant without having to shell out agency or advertising fees.
.
"he is going to put the rent up"
As is his right.

"good lawyer/solicitor to call"
