Relocating pets to UK

Question

Hi.Has anyone moved their dogs to the UK or know how to go about it? I know the UK requirements but I'm trying to find a pet transportation company that will take care of getting them to the UK or figure out which airline will take my pets and I collect them myself the other end. Brussels Airlines doesn't and neither does easyjet to Gatwick.British Airways does but seem to work with two different agents just to get your dog onto the plane which I don't understand and the local agent was not very clear.

Hi. Try a Google search for Pet Relocation Services UK and it will come up with several companies that transport pets by van ... much less stressful than flying. I used B.A. once and it was an expensive nightmare. Good luck!

Sonia Morgan does pet relocation. Only used the boarding service but she is very reliable and experienced with dogs. http://www.pet-services.eu/index.php

The least stressful way for your dogs would be if you could find someone driving on their own who would be willing to take you and your dogs to the UK on the shuttle. It's so simple and Euro Tunnell
are well organised and it only adds about 10 mins to the journey - just the time to check the dogs passports. good luck.

The advantage of the tunnel over ferry is that you stay with the dogs through the whole journey - ferry - only an hour and a half seperated -- plane -- strange box - in the hold - can be many many hours -- I agree with Kerry on this one

Hi not quite the same we had. Cats flown, back a few years ago. they can't always go on normal planes ours came with freight so was middle of night collection. Our moving company arranged it. They were really stressed by it. Plus another friend had an issue with her Cat that unless all the paperwork is totally accurate including the time shots were given for worming you can end up with an issue at the uk end. She had to pay one day in quarter tine not cheap. So make sure who ever you ask has done it before.
I know people who take their pets via euro tunnel and say it very easy.
