Registering in Uccle commune

Question

Hi all,
My partner, baby daughter and I moved here from London 3 weeks ago and have yet to register at our commune: we were waiting until we found a permanent residence before registering once and then having to reregister at a different commune...
Anyway, we will be registering at Uccle shortly, and I have a few questions:
- what documentation do i need to take?
- do we have to make an appointment and if so, how?
- Is it likely to be problematic that my partner and I are not married? He is employed full-time, I am currently looking after our daughter.

Think that's it - thanks in advance,

Hannah

- what documentation do i need to take?
Passport + birth certificate + employment contract or proof of income
There's a fair chance that you won't get it all right first time, so you can expect a second trip, + a 3rd one later to pick up your Belgian ID cards.
- do we have to make an appointment and if so, how?
Usually just turn up.
- Is it likely to be problematic that my partner and I are not married? He is employed full-time
If you are EU citizens, no problem whatsoever.
