Qualifier match between Israel and Belgium postponed

This morning there was still speculation about whether or not the Belgian Football Association would postpone the football match between Israel and the Belgian Red Devils, scheduled for September 9. The Association has since officially confirmed that the first qualifying match for the European Championship in 2016 in Israel will indeed be postponed until March 31, 2015, due to the unstable political situation there.

"After consultation with the Belgian Football Association, the Israeli Football Association and European Football Association, the European Championship qualifier match will not take place on September 9, 2014, but on March 31, 2015," announced the Belgian Football Association on its website.

The friendly match between Belgium and Australia on September 4 will take place as planned, however, as will the Red Devils Family Day on September 6.
