Hi All. I have been invited to the Island of Silba in Croatia this summer. Does anyone know which would be the easiest way to get there. There doesn't seem to be a direct flight from Brussels to Split (I would take train + ferry from here). Advice + ideas appreciated.

Thanks Mujo. The hosts travel to the destination from a different country... so no, they don't know the connections between Belgium to Croatia.

Mujo was referring to "internal connections", meaning inside Croatia, starting with potential arrival points from Belgium. Mujo wrote short thinking Silba understand.

I suggest 1) looking at maps of wherever the hell it is you're going (see http://maps.google.com), 2) identify airports that are in the vicinity of Split (or Split itself) and 3) log on to a website such as www.kayak.com and see what the travel options are between Brussels and there - and finally, also look at flights from Cologne, Paris and Amsterdam, all of which are connected by hi-speed trains.
probably a better option than asking these yahoos.

"There doesn't seem to be a direct flight from Brussels to Split"(Silba)
"Croatia Airlines flies Brussels - Split according to their website".
"Thanks jxuv. This is definitely an option (via Zagreb)"(Silba).
It's fun to read some of these posts.

Best bet is to fly to Zadar (Brussels - Zagreb - Zadar). Croatian Airlines is reasonable if you book in advance.
From Zadar you can take a regular, inexpensive ferry to Silba.
The ferry company is "Jadrolinija" (http://www.jadrolinija.hr).
