Public transport Evere to Laeken - any idea?

Question

Hi,

I am moving to Brussels with work and will be living in Evere/Rue de Geneve area. My kids are going to the new European School in Laeken. Would anybody know if it is easy to commute to Laeken from Evere and what tram/bus/metro I could use?

Thanks for all your advice!

At the moment, the new school is served only by bus 53, which goes from nowhere to nowhere. It connects with the tram/metro network at Bockstael and De Wand. The latter is on the route of tram 7 which is fairly convenient for you, and on decent days De Wand to the school is a pleasant walk.

Once the school is up and running, surely new services will be introduced.
