private schools in Belgium

Question

Hi, I am doing research for a family from Uzbekistan for a private school in Belgium for the schoolyear 2014 - 2015. The children's mothertongue is Russian and they attend primary and secondary school.
I don't have any experience with private schools. Any advice is welcome!

Good Afternoon, I work for Bogaerts International School in Waterloo, and we specialize in students just arriving to Belgium (we have many nationalities, including children in both primary and secondary who are mother tongue Russian), with a curriculum focused in both English, and French.

The other popular schools in Brussels are ISB, and St Johns - however I would recommend looking at us first! :)

It usually boils down to budget.

At the top end you have ISB and there are other options.

BSB, International Catholic School, Bogaerts, Le Verseau and the European Schools as a starter.

Also, is it for just one year?

Hi private schooling is very expensive as a rule unless your company pay I believe it is related to unable to get charitable status and high tax cost for employing staff. Many of the big school run very good English introduction language classes for students and they are used to none mother tongue students. . Teaching but classes tend to be in English and some mother tongue program's after school not sure about Russian at least at Isb my kids go there and there are many nationalities there and very good staff student ratios, I imagine same in many other schools. Check out websites for schools but actually visiting us best way to see what fits

Thank you all for the helpful comments. The family also requested me to find parents of children going to private schools and ask them about their opinion.
Personally I have no experience whatsoever with private schools. My children went to public schools.
Are there any parents who want to give me their opinion about ISB?

Hello!

I am in charge of Community Relations at D Y Patil International School in Aartselaar. The school, conveniently located between Antwerp and Brussels with daily bus services from various locations , follows an internationally recognised curriculum for children aged 2½ to 18 from a diverse mix of nationalities, including the IB Diploma Programme. Lessons are mostly taught in English, with Dutch and French also offered.

Visit our website for more info: http://www.dypisbelgium.be/ we wish you a fruitful search!
