Police verification Delay - Ixelles Commune

Question

I went to the Ixelles commune for the registering 3 weeks back on November 30th, In the commune they took my name and address and informed there would be a police verification and post that i can come back to commune for registration. However its been 3 weeks and i haven't received any police person to my house? Anyone here had experienced such delays and is it common for taking so long?

Yes, can happen.

Look up previous questions/ answers on this one.... Coming to your house does not necessarily mean they ring the doorbell to talk to you personally. Most often they come and look at the mailbox and name on doorbell. You aren't even aware that they have checked.
