Belgian CEOs fear burnout among personnel

22:56 09/08/2017

Nearly a quarter of Belgian business leaders are worried about their employees' health complaints due to work-related stress, especially mental complaints such as burnout. About 23% of CEOs are worried that their employees will develop a burnout or other mental health issue, according to a study of 470 Belgian CEOs conducted by HR partner Acerta. Two years ago, only 10% of CEOs were concerned about the risk of employee burnout.

The CEOs surveyed say they do everything in their power to keep staff motivated and feeling good at work. However, Acerta investigated how business leaders can prevent burnout among their staff and found that they can do more. Some of the tips Acerta gave include encouraging open dialogue, making it easier for staff to grow and change position within the company and offering more flexible work.
