New Belgian airline to focus on low-cost flights to Asia

Belgian entrepreneurs are working on the creation of a new airline, with launch date in early 2017. Under the name Air Belgium, the airline aims to connect Belgium with Asia, especially China and India, writes Bruzz.
While a charter company with the same name was operational in the 1980s and -'90s, the new Air Belgium has nothing to do with the defunct airline. One of the founders is the former managing director of the Liège-based TNT Airways, Niky Terzakis (pictured).
The company will focus on low-cost long-haul flights to cities in China, the Far East and Southeast Asia. It is still investigating whether it will operate from the airport of Brussels or Liège.
