Microsoft office package

Question

Could anybody give me some advice about the best places on the internet where I can get the Microsoft office package for download (in English)? I have checked a few sites and I'm a bit unsure. What about free offers? Is there a disadvantage with them?

Ignore Microsoft's rubbishy and expensive product. Go to openoffice.org and download OpenOffice instead. In my opinion it works better and it will read and, if you ask it, write files in Microsoft Office format.

And the really good news is that it is free.

Get yourself a hotmail or outlook.com e-mail address then you can access microsoft office online (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) for free.

If you want to actually buy MS office, then you can go direct to microsoft itself, or a reputable online shop like amazon.

NEWSTART77, if you're logged into outlook, in the top left hand corner, there is the logo for Outlook.com. Just to the right of that logo is a down arrow. Press it, and you get the option to use word, excel, powerpoint etc. I can't remember now, but I think the first time you do it, you need to agree to some terms and conditions. Basically you have the office suite of programs available to you. The only downside, is that you need to be connected to the internet to use it.
