Marks & Spencer to launch dedicated Belgian website

12:17 02/11/2012

Marks & Spencer is returning to Belgium – in online form. The British retailer is expanding its overseas offerings with four European websites being launched on November 19, the Huffington Post reports. It chose the sites, in Belgium, Germany, Spain and Austria, in response to the huge demand shown by customers in each of the four countries, with online shoppers regularly using its international delivery service. M&S recently launched successful websites in France and Ireland. The new webshops will trade in euros and offer local language, payment and delivery options, giving customers access to more than 15,000 products, including womenswear, lingerie, menswear, kidswear and homeware. Chief executive Marc Bolland says, “This is us moving forward with our plan to transform M&S from traditional British retailer to leading international, multi-channel retailer. M&S is a brand that’s synonymous with British quality, style and value and this move enables us to extend the reach of our brand to more new markets.”
