Man assaults train conductor at Brussels Airport

10:32 30/07/2017

A train conductor was assaulted by a passenger at the Brussels National Airport train station on Friday, according to the prosecutor's office of Halle-Vilvoorde.

The confrontation arose after the man was unable to show a valid ticket, and punched the train conductor two times before the railway police could intervene. The SNCB employee will take five days of injury leave following the incident.

The suspect was immediately prosecuted in the court of justice.
