Looking for a reliable brand of gas based central heating system vendor/installer

Question

Hello,

We are planning to replace our old Mazhout bed central heating system with a Gas based system, in Brussels region. Gas connection is already provisioned and ready. We believe we need a central heating boiler for about 45 KwH.

We are fed up dealing with dealers as they don't turn up in time for any maintenance issues. We are looking for reliable brand/manufacturer with whom we would like to sign a maintenance contract directly. The contract should cover 'entretien complete and/or ´Contrôle Périodiqué by ´Bruxelles Enviroment´, " plus replacement of any parts as well.

The new heating system should be easily adaptable for rich gas which may soon be available in our area

1) Any suggestions of for a reliable company/brand who is known to sign direct maintenance contract with the end user themselves?

2) Can you also a recommend a reliable ‘Agrée’ certified gas installer who can install it in Brussels capital region?

3) Does any body know if it involves major modification to the newly installed Gas central heating system, once we switch from "gaz pauvre" to " gaz riche"?

Thanks in advance

For Q's 1 and 2, I'll suggest that you go to Batibouw in February. Anyone serious in the heating industry will be there in hall 12.

For Q 3, in Brussels, the conversion is going to be phased in between 2020 and 2023. The Belgian standard that is compatible with both types of gas has been in place since 1978. So unless you're going to buy a 40 year old second hand boiler you'll be fine.

I got rid of the mazout system in a house I own and rent out, after a mazout overflow 5 years ago. This was my first opportunity to get rid of it. I also got rid of the tank. The removal and installation took 4 days, the removal of the tank took one day. The companies I used were: Peytier (Meise) and Vitesske (Vilvoorde). Approximate costs 12,000 and 1,600. Very efficient service from both. Peytier offers annual servicing contract. Good luck. So happy to get rid of stinky mazout!
