Live cameras follow three Peregrine falcon nests in Brussels

16:20 06/04/2017

Spring in Brussels means the Peregrine falcons are again nesting in the city's high towers, which can be followed live via streaming. The 13th edition of Falcons for Everyone, an initiative of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, announced that it will follow three nests this year.

Besides the well-known pair of breeding Peregrines in the St. Michael and Gudula Cathedral, the public this year can also follow the parenting adventures of a falcon pair in the tower of the town hall in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, as well as one in the clock tower of Uccle's Saint Job Church.

The female Peregrines laid their eggs in early March and have since been brooding. All of the eggs are expected to hatch around 7-8 April in a process that can be followed live 24 hours a day.
