Late tax return 2016 by fiscal authorities

Question

Hi everyone,

I have a questions about the late tax return 2016 (fiscal year 2015). In 2016 I submitted my tax return in time (before 30/6/16) but till now I did not yet receive my 'aanslagbiljet 2016', though the deadline was 30 June 2017.
I was advised to submit an official reclamation and was told that actually I am entitled to claim all taxes paid in 2015 back.
Did anyone have this experience and what is the procedure? Where can I get an advice?
Thanks in advance,
D.

Surprisingly, the absolute best place to get tax advice on things like this is at your local tax office. They typically have drop in centers, or you can make an appointment.

Thanks for the answer, but surprisingly the advise to write a complaint I got from the local tax office under the griff "usually we do not share this information widely" because if people know about thier rights and claim their taxes back, the belgian tax system will collapse :)
I was aksing more of people's personal experiences.

OK sorry about that. My experiences at tax offices in Brussels, Braine-L'Alleud and Ottignies-Louvain-La-Neuve (all within the past 6 months) has always been extremely helpful.

Excellent experience of tax offices but my positive experience has no relevance to you. Go contact your tax office.
