Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett to perform on Grand Place

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett (pictured) will perform an exclusive concert on the Grand Place in Brussels on Monday night, promoters announced yesterday. Earlier in the day rumours circulated that the American queen of pop would shoot a video in Grand Place, and it later emerged that the video would be of the duo’s performance, which is not open to the general public.

The video is in support of the duo’s new album called Cheek to Cheek, a compilation of jazz standards. Bennett gives a concert on Monday night at Cirque Royal, and the Grand Place show takes place right after that performance. Gaga performs in Antwerp on Tuesday night.

“This event is an unbelievable advertisement for the city of Brussels and our Grand Place,” said Philippe Close, alderman of tourism. Limited tickets to the concert on Grand Place are available through a contest for Mobistar customers only.
