Question

I went to Jack O'Shea's in Schuman today but it was closed 'due to technical problems'. I heard the restaurant was closed too. Anyone know what's going on? Getting quality meat anywhere else in Belgium is a problem!

Thanks for the Info Eric, I wa at the one in Uccle. It is closed for the month of July for holidays.

The butcher shop at St Catherine appears closed permanently — all fixtures gone and a for-rent sign in the window. Which is indeed crushing news to those of us nearby who appreciate fine meats.

Try Rob Gourmet Market or Bioplanet for good meat - very good quality from both.

I have to say, the new Belgian butchers directly opposite the Jack O'Shea shop near St Catherine is good as well.
