Film: Schultze Gets the Blues

Schultze is an overweight, middle-aged miner who has spent his entire life in the same tiny German village on the Saale River. Schultze’s life consists of work, the bar, folk music and fishing. That is until he and his buddies Manfred and Jürgen all lose their jobs. Then Schultze starts viewing the world in a whole different light. He no longer plays the same old boring polka songs on his accordion, but instead fierce, fiery Cajun grooves – only the local music club is not so impressed by this unexpected and drastic change.
