Holiday pay
I quit my job in mid April, and received the half-month salary on May 1st. I was told that I'd get the holiday pay (I had a bunch of holidays left) in May, but I still haven't received it.
My husband received his full pay and full holiday pay the day he quit.
So my question is this - when am I supposed to receive the holiday pay? I've asked HR repeatedly, but they don't answer...
Practice depends of the company and of the time of the month you finish working. The last payment (including corrections of your last period of work and any other open items) is normally done at latest on the date that the salaries of the month following your last month at work are paid. However since we are in June and many companies make a separate payment for the holiday allowances in June, it might be that your ex-employer is foreseeing of paying your last salary (eg. holiday pay and allowance) on that batch. Please note that if you were on interim contract, you have been paid the holiday accrual on monthly bases in your regular salary.
