Hair and hard water
I've just moved into a new flat and, judging by the state of my hair, the water coming out of the shower is even harder than is usual in Brussels...I know appearance isn't everything, but it's annoying to have lank, sticky yet strangely dry hair every single day.
I'm not in a position to fit a water filter system, already use conditioner (which doesn't help with this at all), have tried vinegar and lemon juice rinses with barely discernible results, and for reasons of cost, environment and convenience don't fancy washing my hair in mineral water (though it may yet come to that). Can anyone recommend a strategy or a product? I couldn't see a single clarifying shampoo or anything else designed for this problem in Dii, which surprised me.
This is an expensive option, but it must work because I've been asked to buy this oil whenever I go to the US as is a bit cheaper because of the exchange rate.
You take argan oil and massage it in the root of your head and leave the oil on there for about 2 hours, and then you take a shower.
Definitely not cheap though.

I think a small bottle of 50 ml is about 20 euros in Brussels.
Almond oil also works, but I'm told not as nice as the argan oil.
Finally, and much cheaper, coconut oil, which you can even get the bio version at delhaize for 7 euros. Yes, the coconut oil is used for cooking,
and for putting it on shakes, but also good for the hair.
One of the cheapest solutions would be rinsing your hair with demineralized water or water that has been boiled (and cooled down of course).
