Green energy sector to create 10,000 jobs a year
Belgium
11:31 23/10/2014
The rapid growth of the renewable energy sector in Belgium is directly responsible for the creation of more than 10,000 jobs annually through 2020, according to a study by Ernst & Young, commissioned by three Belgian companies in the field of renewable energy, report De Standaard and De Tijd.
The share of green electricity in the total electricity capacity in Belgium is expected to increase from 11% currently, to 24% by 2020. At that rate, the sector will open the way for the creation of more than 10,000 jobs annually over the next six years. The majority of the jobs will go to the construction of new facilities for the production of green electricity.

It is high time 'non green' politicians recognised the huge potential of green energy for our economy. These jobs are here, and can not be relocated for capitalists' convenience. Go green, and save our children from a gloomy future of economic decline and huge environmental costs (and their derived economic costs), or get your hand off the levers of power if you're too daft to think ahead !!!!
Policies that make a bit of sense. At last!
