The vast majority of Belgium’s 600.000 expatriates live and work in greater Brussels; with such a large international community it is hardly surprising that expats feel so welcome here. Brussels Metropolitan (shorthand for the initiative to establish the "Business Route 2018 for Metropolitan Brussels") aims to make better use of Brussels’ asset as an international centre, with all the decision-making EU institutions, 1,700 international organisations and the world’s largest lobbying industry.

"It's time to bring the Brussels business community together with the capital’s large expat community!"

This was the thinking behind the creation of the first ever expat event, ‘Brussels Metropolitan meets Business International’: to bring the local business community and the international community together through a highly personal networking event. And what better way than with a walking dinner that offers a variety of gastronomic tastings with Belgian delicacies? After all, Belgium boasts more Michelin stars per capita than anywhere in Europe!

Are you looking to get your business noticed by the expat community in Brussels Metropolitan? Do you want to meet up with fellow expats in Brussels or are you interested in networking with the local business community? Then ‘Brussels Metropolitan meets Business International’ is the event for you.

Programme:

18h00-18h20:    Welcome drink

18h20-18h35:    Hospitality as a key factor of Brussels Metropolitan. Striving for a better policy towards the international community

18h35-19h00:    On the attractiveness and hospitality of Brussels, with Paul Dujardin, CEO & Artistic Director of the Bozar Centre for Fine Arts. Paul Dujardin brings business insight and leadership to the arts. He shook the cobwebs off this fine arts centre and turned it into a prestigious cultural centre accessible to all by combining business strategy and -international- community insights.
