Question

Seeking recommendation on basis of personal experience for a surgeon to repair a hernia. Good English is a plus but not essential. Brussels/South Brussels area.

Don't know the name of the actual surgeon, but my Dad had a hernia repaired at the hospital in Braine l'Alleud about 5 years ago. Overall was very pleased with the care, as well as the actual hospital. Very quiet and calm. Parking around the hospital can be a problem, and accessing the hospital from the parking leads you through a corridor past the morgue! Other than that, very happy with it.

I was operated (gall bladder removal) by a general surgeon at the Clinique St. Michel who was recommended by a colleague. I was more than happy with the care I got. Contact details are below, but it might be best if you were referred by your GP. Or else make an appointment with the General Surgery department.
