Free wi-fi now in all Brussels metro stations

11:08 04/10/2017

The roll-out of wi-fi in Brussels’ metro stations that started last year has been completed, with all metro and pre-metro stations in the 19 municipalities now covered. There are now more than 170 wifi.brussels hotspots across the capital.

“Between 2015 and 2025, we are investing €5.2 billion in the development of the public transport system,” said the region’s mobility minister Pascal Smet. “Free wi-fi is just a small part of that, but it’s an essential service for travellers.”

Other free hotspots in Brussels include Grand Place, Place Flagey and Place Eugène Simonis, and more are coming in the next few months, including in Place Cardinal Mercier in Jette.
